San Leandro Times

You’ve seen them on TV, you’ve read about them in magazines, and now you can view ReBath bathroom remodeling transformations in person.

A brand-new ReBath showroom has opened in San Leandro’s Fairmont Square Shopping Center, just down the block from Ricky’s on Hesperian Boulevard. The store’s grand opening was Nov. 5.

Franchise owner Farr Arjomandi has been a licensed general contractor since 1989. Three years ago, he decided to focus on bathroom remodeling, specifically the ReBath system which works within existing bathrooms.

He worked out of his home in Walnut Creek, but had his materials in a warehouse in Hayward. About six months ago, he started setting up the San Leandro showroom space, which is located between the two. He chose the location for its excellent pedestrian and automobile traffic.

“We felt people really needed a place to see our finished bathrooms in person,” says Arjomandi. “People always asked, but without a showroom we really couldn’t do that. Now they can see all the possibilities in one place, and people really love it. They can see how we can go over their existing bathtub, but we don’t necessarily have to. Sometimes we convert a tub to a shower, or we can install a level-entry shower or walk-in bath with hydrotherapy tub.”

Seniors and disabled people are often interested in accessibility remodeling possibilities. Shower thresholds can become minimal or level. Waterproof floors or shower pads can be installed so people with mobility problems can enter without ever taking a step up, or can roll in with a wheelchair. Walk-in tubs are also popular. The main reason people like the shower and tub systems is low maintenance, according to Arjomandi.

“All you do is spray and wipe it. Anyone who has dealt with grout will appreciate it,” he says.

Countertop materials include natural stone, onyx, granite, cultured marble and manufactured surfaces. The cabinetry is 100 percent birch, made in Iowa at a company that employs Amish craftsmen. Bathtub systems come in 14 different colors, with matte or gloss finishes, which can be stamped with different patterns.

“We think it’s important for people to see the actual product. Seeing is believing, and we want to show it off,” says Arjomandi.

This is a complete one-stop shop: ReBath can install toilets, shower doors (fixed panel and moving), sinks and flooring. Each remodel comes with a lifetime warranty. Free in-home estimates may be scheduled by calling 782-7820 or 1-800-BATHTUB. More information and before-and-after pictures are available on the shop’s website: www.rebathofalamedacounty.com.

The ReBath company was founded in 1979 and has 200 franchises in the United States. Arjomandi’s franchise covers all of Alameda County. The showroom is located at 15070-B Hesperian Blvd. Hours are Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. (Contractor’s license #584329.)

CAPTION: ReBath can upgrade any part of a bathroom, from tubs and showers to sinks, cabinets and toilets.
