Meth Bust

Sunday, June 10: at 8:01 p.m., sheriff’s deputies arrested a 23-year-old man with no permanent address on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine drugs. The man was spotted outside Eden Medical Center on Lake Chabot Road when deputies approached him and found the drugs in his pockets. The man was handcuffed and taken to Santa Rita Jail.


Driving With a Knife

Sunday, June 10: at 12:29 p.m., a 26-year-old man from Union City was arrested on suspicion of brandishing an illegal knife while he was seated in a car, which is a misdemeanor offense. Deputies spotted the man while he was parked at a gas station on Lake Chabot Road near Castro Valley Boulevard. The man was given a citation and a date to appear in court before a judge.


Public Intoxication

Saturday, June 9: at 9:37 p.m., a 50-year-old woman from Stockton was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication. Deputies stopped the woman while she was behind a fast food restaurant on Castro Valley Boulevard near Redwood Road. The woman was taken to a sobering center.


Bowler Strikes Out

Saturday, June 9: at 6:40 p.m., a call to the sheriff about an obnoxious patron at the Castro Village Bowl on Village Drive sent deputies to the scene. There they arrested a 19-year-old man who declined to say where he was from on suspicion of being under the influence of drugs. The man was taken into custody, but later cited and released with a date to appear in court.


Wanted Woman Smoked Out

Friday, June 8: at 7:49 p.m., deputies arrested a 46-year-old woman from Castro Valley on four counts of failure to appear in court. The woman was coming out from a cigarette store on Castro Valley Boulevard when deputies served her a warrant for her arrest. The woman was taken to Santa Rita Jail.


Grand Theft

Thursday, June 7: at 8:07 p.m., a 23-year-old man from Castro Valley was arrested on suspicion of grand theft of merchandise in excess of $950. Deputies approached the man at a home on Shamrock Way near Edwards Lane after receiving a tip to his whereabouts. The man was taken into custody.


Back to Jail

Tuesday, June 5: at 4:05 p.m., deputies arrested a 23-year-old woman with no permanent address on suspicion of violating her parole. The woman was traveling on Center Street near Ravenwood Place when deputies spotted her and pulled her over. The woman was taken to Santa Rita Jail.


Driving With a

Suspended License

Monday, June 4: at 8:08 p.m., a 43-year-old man from Castro Valley was arrested on suspicion of driving with a suspended license. Deputies spotted the man on Forest Avenue and pulled him over near Omega Avenue. The man was taken into custody.

 


Warrant Served in Pot Bust

Monday, June 4: at 6:50 a.m., deputies pulled over and arrested a 38-year-old woman with no permanent address on suspicion of driving with her license revoked and two counts of possession of marijuana drugs. Deputies stopped the woman on Crow Canyon Road near Cold Water Drive and Crow Canyon Road to serve her a warrant for her arrest. The woman was taken to Santa Rita Jail.


Can’t Stay Away

Monday, June 4: at 12:00 p.m., a 911 call was received about a suspicious person outside a home on Gliddon Street near Heyer Avenue sent deputies to investigate. There they arrested a 55-year-old man from San Leandro fitting the description on suspicion of violating a court-issued restraining order and violating his parole. The man additionally put up a fight with deputies and was charged with resisting arrest. The man was taken into custody.


One Too Many

Monday, June 4: at 8:39 a.m., a 51-year-old man from San Francisco was arrested on suspicion of driving while under the influence of drugs and alcohol. Deputies pulled the man over on Lake Chabot Road near Eden Medical Center after observing him driving erratically in the neighborhood. The man was handcuffed and taken into custody.
