DAVIS, Irene Ann, of San Leandro, passed away on Monday, August 27, 2012, at age 89. A native of Oakland who graduated from Castlemont High School, Mrs. Davis had retired from Capwell’s. She was a volunteer at Treasures Hospice Thrift Shop and at Redwood Chapel.

DELOS REYES, Gena A., of San Leandro, passed away at her home on Wednesday, August 29, 2012, at age  91. Mrs. delos Reyes was a native of Ibajay, Aklan, Philippines. Funeral services were held Sept. 2. Burial will be in the Philippines.

FORD, Pauline, who lived in San Leandro for many years, passed away on Tuesday, August 21, 2012, at age 86. A memorial service for Mrs. Ford was held Aug. 30 at First Southern Baptist Church in San Lorenzo, where she had been a longtime member. Burial was at Chapel of the Chimes in Hayward.

GALAS, Margo Lynn, of San Lorenzo, passed away on Monday, August 27, 2012, at age 61. Mrs. Galas loved enjoyed the outdoors and loved to travel with her family.

GONSALVES, Stephen H. “Blackie,” who formerly lived in San Leandro, passed away at the VA Hospital in Palo Alto on Friday, August 24, 2012, at age 64. A U.S. Marine Corps veteran of the Korean War, Mr. Gonsalves had lived in South Lake Tahoe for the past 27 years. A celebration of his life was held Sept. 4 at St. Leander’s Church in San Leandro.

LIM, Walter, who formerly lived in San Leandro, passed away on Tuesday, August 28, 2012, at age 79. Mr. Lim was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He worked as a nuclear engineer for General Electric for 30 years and served as deacon of Chinese Independent Baptist Church of Oakland. A celebration of his life was held Sept. 4 at the church.

NOBRIGA, Lucille G., of San Leandro, passed away at her home on Wednesday, August 29, 2012, at age 87. A native of Oakland, Mrs. Nobriga was employed by the school districts in San Lorenzo and San Leandro for many years. She also served as a Senior Commissioner for District 4 in San Leandro. Services were held Sept. 5 at San Leandro Funeral Home (formerly Guerrero Mortuary), 407 Estudillo Ave., San Leandro.

RAYNER, Marian Elizabeth, February 12, 1915 – August 31, 2012. Marian, a resident of San Leandro for 62 years passed away at the age of 97 on Friday, August 31, 2012. She is survived by her loving daughter, Wendy; grandchildren, Taryn and Justin; and great-grandchildren, Evan, Zenna and Tanyth. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar Rayner, a dentist who operated a practice on Estudillo Avenue from 1950 to 1978. They were married for 68 years and enjoyed gardening, cooking, cats, and lots of laughs.

ROHR, Dorothy Vernon, of San Leandro, passed away Tuesday, September 4, 2012, at age 93. A native of Sterling, Kansas, Mrs. Rohr a member of the First Presbyterian Church of San Leandro. A church memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, September 8 at 180 Estudillo Avenue, San Leandro.
