Over the Limit
Sunday, September 9: at 9:34 a.m., sheriff’s deputies arrested a 64-year-old woman from Oakland on suspicion of driving while intoxicated. The woman was traveling along the Boulevard near Grove Way when deputies observed her driving erratically. The woman was taken into custody.



Failure to Appear
Sunday, September 9: at 5:25 p.m., a 29-year-old woman from Castro Valley was arrested on suspicion of failure to appear in court, which is a misdemeanor. The woman was traveling on Norbridge Avenue near the CV BART station when deputies stopped her for questioning. She was taken to Santa Rita Jail pending a $475 bail.



Gave Liquor to Minor
Sunday, September 9: at 12:08 a.m., deputies arrested a 21-year-old woman from CV on suspicion of providing alcoholic beverages to a minor. A 19-year-old man from Oakland was also arrested on suspicion of public intoxication. Deputies stopped the pair outside of a home on Stanton Avenue near Talbot Lane for questioning. The man failed his field sobriety test. Both were taken into custody.


Failed Sobriety Test
Saturday, September 8: at 9:26 p.m., two people were arrested on suspicion of public intoxication behind a fast-food store on Castro Valley Boulevard near Redwood Road. Deputies patrolling the area came across a 46-year-old man from Hayward anåd a 36-year-old woman from Castro Valley. The couple failed their field sobriety tests and was taken into custody.



Vandal Resists Arrest
Saturday, September 8: at 10:58 p.m., deputies arrested a 47-year-old man from Oakland was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication, trespassing, destroying private property in excess of $400 and resisting arrest. Deputies confronted the man outside of a pizza place on Castro Valley Boulevard near Anita Avenue. The man was taken to Santa Rita Jail.



Drugs, Stolen Property
Saturday, September 8: at 10:38 a.m., two men were arrested in connection with felony drug and stolen property charges. Deputies questioned the men outside a mobile home park on Castro
Valley Boulevard near Marshall Street after receiving a tip. A 32-year-old man from Sunnyvale was arrested on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine drugs. A 28-year-old man from Castro Valley was arrested on suspicion of possession of stolen property, possession of illegal drug paraphernalia and violating his parole. The men were taken to Santa Rita Jail.



Refused Breathalyzer Test
Friday, September 7: at 12:49 a.m., deputies arrested a 54-year-old man from Castro Valley on suspicion of driving while intoxicated. The man was traveling on Redwood Road near James Avenue when deputies pulled him over. The man refused all field sobriety tests. He was taken into custody.



Stumbling Along
Friday, September 7: at 7:45 p.m., a 55-year-old man from Oakland was arrested on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance. The man was traveling on San Carlos Avenue near Park Way when deputies spotted him stumbling along the road. The man was taken to Santa Rita Jail pending $10,000 bail.



Public Intoxication
Thursday, September 6: at 7:14: p.m., deputies arrested a 57-year-old man on suspicion of public intoxication. The man was sitting in a parking lot behind a fast food restaurant on Castro Valley Boulevard near Redwood Road when deputies spotted him. The man failed his field sobriety test and was taken into custody.



Petty Theft
Thursday, September 6: at 8:42 p.m., a 33-year-old man from Castro Valley was arrested on suspicion of shoplifting, petty theft, resisting arrest, violating the terms of his parole, violating his probation, and having a warrant out for his arrest. The man was stopped outside a grocery store parking lot on Castro Valley Boulevard near Redwood Road when deputies caught up with him. The man was taken to Santa Rita Jail.



Six Arrested for Robbery
Thursday, September 6: at 11:19 p.m., six men ages 18 and 19 from the area were arrested on charges stemming from robbery. Deputies stopped the men at Eden Medical Center after receiving a tip from hospital security. The men were handcuffed and taken to Santa Rita Jail pending a court appearance. Arrested at the hospital were four 18-year-old men from Castro Valley, an 18-year-old man from Hayward and a 19-year-old man from San Lorenzo.



Fought the Law
Wednesday, September 5: at 11:20 p.m., deputies arrested a 45-year-old man from Castro Valley on suspicion of public intoxication and resisting arrest. The man was outside his home on Old Dublin Road near Interstate Highway 580 when deputies arrived. The man was taken to Santa Rita Jail.



Red-Faced on Redwood
Wednesday, September 5: at 2:26 p.m., a 65-year-old man from Castro Valley was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication. Deputies found the man outside a convenience store on Redwood Road near Grove Way when they stopped him for questioning. The man was taken to a sobering center.


Domestic Dispute
Wednesday, September 5: at 5:40 p.m., a 911 call about a loud and aggressive-sounding argument sent deputies to an apartment on Lake Chabot Road near Lessley Avenue. There they arrested a 49-year-old woman from Castro Valley on suspicion of assault and battery on a family member. The woman was taken to Santa Rita Jail.



Switchblade
Tuesday, September 4: at 9:22 p.m., deputies arrested a 43-year-old man from Hayward on suspicion of possession of illegal drug paraphernalia and a switchblade. The man was in a parking lot of a business on Lake Chabot Road near Somerset Avenue when deputies arrived and discovered his stash. The man was taken into custody.



Child Endangerment
Monday, September 3: at 9:56 p.m., a 62-year-old man from Castro Valley was arrested on suspicion of assault on a family member and child endangerment. Deputies were called to a home on Mabel Avenue near Redwood Road after receiving complaints about an argument at the home. The man was taken into custody. The victim was treated at the scene.



One Too Many
Monday, September 3: at 3:43 p.m., deputies arrested a 26-year-old woman from Castro Valley on suspicion of public intoxication. The woman was traveling along Lake Chabot Road near Castro Valley Boulevard when deputies observed her staggering around. The woman was taken to a sobering center.
