Running back scores five touchdowns against San Lorenzo
San Lorenzo High wide receiver Keenan Johnson caught five passes from quarterback Kevin Mosi but that wasn’t enough fireworks in a 46-13 loss to American High on Saturday afternoon.
Aaron Jones caught two passes for the Rebels, and Andre Benson and Raymon Moore each hauled in a pass from Mosi in a game played on the Arroyo High field. Jones also ran back a kickoff in the third quarter for an 80-yard touchdown with some quick moves to put San Lorenzo on the board. Benson Jr. scored the Rebels second touchdown in the fourth quarter on a 10-yard run. But American running back Eric Adair stole the show, galloping 190 yards on 24 carries and scoring four touchdowns on running plays, and another on a 20-yard pass from quarterback Ryan Barker. American wide receiver Segun Giwa scored another touchdown for the Eagles on a 28-yard pass from Barker, and later scored when he returned an interception to the end zone. The Eagles improved to 3-1 with the win. San Lorenzo is now 1-3 for the season. This week San Lorenzo travels to Hercules High for a Friday night game a 7 o’clock.
