CLARKE, Brenda F., who lived in San Leandro for 62 years, passed away from lung cancer on Wednesday, September 26, 2012, at age 69. A native of Rockingham, North Carolina, Mrs. Clarke for ATT for 40 years. After retiring, she worked parttime at Simpson STrong Tie. Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 12, at Santos-Robinson Mortuary, 160 Estudillo Ave., San Leandro. A celebration of her life will be from 1 to 5 p.m. on Saturday at New Hope Church, 22110 Montgomery St., Hayward.

CRIMMINS, John (Jack) Charles, March 25, 1922 – September 29, 2012, 90, passed away after a heroic battle with cancer at his home, with family by his side. Jack was born in Brooklyn to John and Marion Crimmins. He worked as an airplane mechanic in Hawaii and the Philippines during WWII. He met Agnes Swanson of Oakland on a train to Denver in 1946. They were married in 1949 and loved to travel together. They were married for 60 years and Agnes preceded him in death three years ago. Jack was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church, loved to play golf and garden, and could fix anything in a home that was broken. He retired from the City of Oakland as a Housing Inspector in 1988. Jack was preceded in death by his son, John D. Crimmins. He is survived by his daughter, Joanna Crimmins of Oakland. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. A memorial service will be held this Saturday, Oct. 13, at 11 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, 650 Alma Ave., in Oakland.

HINER, Sylvia, of San Leandro died in her home Thursday, October 4, 2012. Funeral service will be held Thursday, October 11, at 1 p.m. at Santos-Robinson Mortuary, 160 Estudillo Avenue, San Leandro.

KING, Grace, passed away in San Leandro on Sunday, September 30, 2012. Loving Aunt of Gregory King of San Leandro. As per her wishes no services will be held. Interment Tracy Cemetery, Tracy, CA.

NAHM, Gale Densmore, a longtime resident of San Leandro and Castro Valley, passed away in Livermore on Saturday, July 28, 2012, after a long illness. She was 65. A memorial service is being planned for a future date.

SCHULTZ, Carl E., 96, passed away on October 6, 2012. He is survived by his wife, Elsie, of 69 years; 5 children, Joyce Wilde, Ronald Schultz, June Kohfield, Helen Tarver and Susan Schultz; 11 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. Carl was an active member of Grace Baptist Church in San Leandro for many years. He was born in Oakland and lived in San Leandro since the mid 1940s. He is a WWII veteran who served in the Navy and was stationed in Saipan. He worked for Dairy Rich Milk Company for 28 years until his retirement in 1975. A Celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, Oct. 13, at Grace Baptist Church, 16105 Mateo St., in San Leandro. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Grace Baptist Church Building Fund.

WELTBACK, Roger Lew, of San Leandro, passed away at Eden Hospital in Castro Valley on Thursday, September 20, 2012, at age 71. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 15, at Sacramento Valley National Cemetery in Dixon, with full military honors. All family and friends are invited to attend.
