She Can’t Stay Away

Saturday, October 6: at 12:11 p.m., a 49-year-old woman from Alameda was arrested on suspicion of violating a court-issued restraining order. Deputies spotted the woman outside a business on Center Street near Grove Way when they made the stop. The woman was taken into custody.


Illegal Drugs

Saturday, October 6: at 3:13 a.m., deputies arrested a 51-year-old woman with no permanent address on suspicion of possession of an illegal amount of narcotics. The woman was traveling on Lamson Road near Almond Road when she was stopped. Deputies reported finding 0.37 grams of the narcotic in her pockets. The woman was taken to Santa Rita Jail.

 


Pot Bust

Friday, October 5: at 9:17 p.m., a 45-year-old man from Fremont was arrested on suspicion of possession of marijuana drugs. Deputies stopped the man for the misdemeanor offense on Norbridge Road near Redwood Road. The man was taken into custody.


Aggressive Rape

Friday, October 5: at 4:50 p.m., a 911 call about an aggressive fight sent deputies to a parking area on the Boulevard near Wilbeam Avenue. There they arrested a 41-year-old man from CV on suspicion of rape, violating a court-issued restraining order, burglary, spousal battery, and threatening the victim with physical violence. The man was taken to Santa Rita Jail. The victim was treated at the scene.


Over the Limit

Thursday, October 4: at 7:31 a.m., deputies arrested a 28-year-old man from El Cerrito on suspicion of public intoxication. The man was traveling on East Castro Valley Boulevard in the 580 Marketplace shopping center parking lot when deputies caught up with him. The man was taken to a sobering center.

 

Stumbling Around On the Boulevard

Wednesday, October 3: at 6:32 p.m., a 29-year-old man from Pleasanton was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication. Deputies caught up with the man on Baker Road near Castro Valley Boulevard after observing him stumble around. The man was taken to a sobering center.

 


Drove Drunk

Wednesday, October 3: at 1:09 a.m., deputies pulled over and arrested a 50-year-old man from Oakland on suspicion of driving while intoxicated. The man was traveling on Redwood Road near Castro Valley BART when deputies stopped him. The man was taken into custody.


Trespassing Creekside

Wednesday, October 3: at 10:50 a.m., two women from Hayward were arrested on trespassing-related charges for setting up an encampment along San Lorenzo Creek on Crescent Avenue near the Japanese Tea Gardens. Deputies broke up the camp after receiving complaints. A 23-year-old woman was cited for illegal trespassing and released. Her 36-year-old friend was additionally charged with possession of illegal drug paraphernalia. The woman was handcuffed and taken to Santa Rita Jail pending $4,000 bail.

 

Fought the Law

Wednesday, October 3: deputies arrested a 21-year-old man from Vacaville on suspicion of public intoxication and resisting arrest. The man was traveling on Crescent Avenue near San Lorenzo Creek and the Japanese Tea Gardens when deputies approached him. The man was taken to Santa Rita Jail.

 

Sexual Assault

Tuesday, October 2: at 1:45 p.m., a 911 call about a family fight sent deputies to an apartment on Denning Court near Stanton Avenue. There they arrested a 53-year-old man on suspicion of sexual assault against a person at the address. The caller had placed the man under citizen’s arrest until deputies could arrive. The man was taken into custody. The victim was treated at the scene.

 

Trespassing Creekside - Part II

Tuesday, October 2: at 10:35 a.m., deputies arrested a 46-year-old man from Hayward on suspicion of illegal trespassing and possession of an illegal amount of marijuana. Deputies approached the man by San Lorenzo Creek near a home on Crescent Avenue near the Japanese Tea Gardens. The man was handcuffed and taken to Santa Rita Jail.

 

Failed His Field Sobriety Test

Monday, October 1: at 9:10 p.m. a 57-year-old man with no address given was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication. Deputies spotted the man stumbling along the Castro Village shopping center on Rustic Drive before issuing a field sobriety test. The man failed the test and was taken into custody.
