EDLUND, Lucille M. Edlund, resident of San Leandro, Lucille (95) passed away on September 7, 2012. She is preceded in death by her husband, Theodore R. Edlund, and survived by her son, Rollin Edlund (Brentwood, Calif.); her daughter, Judith Edlund (Concord, Calif.); 5 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren. Lucille was active in San Lorenzo Community Church and held several appointed positions in Eastern Star, San Lorenzo # 177 and Oakland’s Nova Dias # 140 OES. She was a recipient of the Rob Morris Award from San Lorenzo OES. Memorial services and a celebration of her life will be held Sunday, Oct. 28, at 3 p.m. at San Lorenzo Community Church, 945 Paseo Grande, in San Lorenzo — refreshments following. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Cancer Society or Shriner’s Children’s Hospital.



LINNEY, Kathleen (Katie), 51 of Castro Valley, passed away unexpectedly in the early hours of October 3, 2012 in her home, of natural causes. She was born on August 7, 1961 to Edward and Cornelia Linney in San Francisco, and attended schools in San Bruno. She was preceded in death by her father, Edward (1995), and her oldest sister, Joni Bradbury (2006). She is survived by her two cherished sons, Kevin and Eddie of Hawaii and Montana, respectively. She is also survived by her mother, Cornelia; sisters, Valerie Johnson and Laura Pica; and brothers, Edward (Ted), Brian, Neil and Paul Linney. She was a fun and loving aunt to many nieces and nephews, and a treasured friend to old and new friends alike. Katie had a love of the outdoors and loved to fish. Her family meant everything to her and she wanted little more out of life than to spend quality time with her boys. She possessed the rare quality of doing good for its own sake and was willing help anyone in need. Katie was fiercely loyal to those she loved. She is irreplaceable and will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to count her among their family or friends. God bless and keep her. A memorial mass will be held at Our Lady of Grace Church in Castro Valley on Friday Oct. 12, at 2:30 p.m.



McCOLLEY, Donald Leroy, June 13, 1946 – September 12, 2012. Please join us for a small Celebration of his life on Sunday, October 14 at 2 p.m. at The Valley Inn, 2660 Castro Valley Blvd., Castro Valley.



NAHM, Gale Densmore, a longtime resident of San Leandro and Castro Valley, passed away in Livermore on Saturday, July 28, 2012, after a long illness. She was 65. A memorial service is being planned for a future date.



TEVES, Madeline, of Castro Valley, passed away on Sunday, September 30, 2012, at age 93. A native of the Territory of Hawaii, Mrs. Teves moved to Oakland in 1937. During World War II and for years after, she worked at the Caterpillar factory in San Leandro, and then at Friedan’s and Singer. She was active in the Red Hat Club, the Garden Club and the Guild at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church. A funeral Mass was said Oct. 6 at Our Lady of Grace Church.
