The deadline to register to vote for the Nov. 6, General Election is Monday, Oct. 22.

Voter registration affidavits are available at the Registrar of Voters office, at the offices of the Department of Motor Vehicles, all city clerks offices, public libraries and post offices.

Completed affidavits must be delivered to the Registrar of Voters office at 1225 Fallon Street, Room G-1, Oakland, CA 94612 or postmarked by Oct. 22.

Voters can call the Registrar of Voters office at 272-6973 or 267-8683 or visit the website at www.acgov.org/rov to check their voter registration status.

To mark the final hours of the voter registration period for the Nov. 6 Presidential Election, the Alameda County Registrar of Voters office will be holding a special “Midnight Madness’’ voter registration drive outside its offices at 1225 Fallon St. in downtown Oakland from 5 p.m. to midnight on Monday, Oct. 22.

Staff will be on hand to distribute registration forms, answer questions and receive completed forms right up until the midnight registration deadline.

AC Transit’s eye-catching Voter Registration Bus, which has been the centerpiece of the Registrar’s voter registration drive leading up to the election, will also be on hand.
