Broken Window Break-in

A business on the 14300 block of East 14th Street was burglarized in the early hours of  Monday morning.

Police responded to al alarm that went off around 1:30 a.m. and found that someone had thrown an object through a window and grabbed some goods, according to Lt. Randy Brandt of the San Leandro police.

The suspect is unknown and did take some items, but the store owner did not know exactly what.

Drunk on the Bus

An AC Transit bus driver hailed a patrolling officer on the 14000 block of East 14th Street Sunday morning around 12:46 a.m., according to Lt. Randy Brandt of the San Leandro police.

A passenger inside the bus was acting out and being unruly, and when the officer spoke with him, he appeared to be drunk. The man was arrested for being drunk in public.

Shoplifter Gets Violent

A petty theft incident turned into a robbery arrest when the suspect used force to try to get away from a security guard Saturday. A man tried to shoplift from a store in the Lucky shopping center at 1300 Fairmont Drive around 3:30 p.m Saturday, according to Lt. Randy Brandt of the San Leandro police. He struggled with the guard and using force or threat during the commission of a burglary turns it into a robbery.

Early Morning Bar Fight

Police were called to a bar on the 15000 block of Hesperian Blvd. on Sunday morning around 8 a.m., according to Lt. Randy Brandt of the San Leandro police. Two men were in an argument and the cops came. One man was arrested for public intoxication.
