Sunday, October 28: at 9:23 a.m., a 911 call about a loud and aggressive argument sent deputies to an apartment on Center Street near Grove Way. There they arrested a 30-year-old man from Castro Valley on suspicion of battery against his wife. The man was taken into custody. The woman was treated at the scene.
Saturday, October 27: at 10:45 p.m., sheriff’s deputies arrested a 19-year-old man with no address mentioned on suspicion of human trafficking of a minor with intent to commit prostitution. The man was stopped outside a home on Somerset Avenue near Anita Avenue when deputies approached him. The man was taken to Santa Rita Jail pending a $200,000 bail. No other arrests were made.
Grand Theft and Fraud
Saturday, October 27: at 8:00 a.m., a 51-year-old woman from Castro Valley was arrested on suspicion of grand theft in excess of $950 and credit card fraud. Deputies caught up with the woman at a home on Seaview Avenue near Judy Street. The woman was taken into custody.
One Too Many
Saturday, October 27: at 11:15 p.m., deputies arrested a 21-year-old man from Castro Valley on suspicion of public intoxication. The man was walking in an apartment parking lot on A Street near Crescent Avenue when deputies noticed him stumbling along. The man was taken to a sobering center.
Traffic Stop Nets Stash of Drugs
Thursday, October 25: at 7:48 p.m., a 48-year-old man from Castro Valley on suspicion of possession of illegal drugs like marijuana and methamphetamine as well as driving with a suspended license. Deputies followed the man on Redwood Road and pulled him over on Buti Park Drive after running his plates and finding him in violation of a suspended license. Deputies discovered his drug stash during questioning. The man was taken to Santa Rita Jail pending a $20,000 bail.
Fought the Law
Thursday, October 25: at 9:32 p.m., deputies arrested a Castro Valley man on suspicion of battery against a law enforcement officer. The man was pulled over on Redwood Road near Lessley Avenue when he decided to become aggressive toward the deputies. The man was handcuffed and taken to Santa Rita Jail pending a $70,000 bail.
Thursday, October 25: at 4:01 p.m., a 28-year-old man from San Francisco was arrested on suspicion of assault on a family member. The man was stopped on Castro Valley Boulevard near Lake Chabot Road when deputies arrived. The man was handcuffed and taken into custody.
Wednesday, October 24: at 9:40 p.m., deputies arrested a 48-year-old man from Oakland on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine drugs and violating his parole. The man was traveling on East Castro Valley Boulevard near Grove Way when he was pulled over. Deputies discovered the stash during questioning. The man was taken back to Santa Rita Jail.
Monday, October 22: at 12:10 p.m., a 23-year-old man from Castro Valley was pulled over and arrested on suspicion of reckless driving and driving under the influence of alcohol. The man was traveling on Baker Road near Kerr Street when deputies caught up with him. The man was taken to Santa Rita Jail. His vehicle was towed.
