The Castro Valley High School Trojans football team beat the Hayward High School Farmers 41-0 Friday night, in front of a packed house at the CVHS Homecoming game.

The Trojans dominated from start to finish. Every time that the Farmers took possession of the ball, CV’s defense stopped them.

The Trojans stuffed the running game and if Hayward attempted to pass, CV intercepted the ball or had the Farmers’ receivers locked up to where a punt was inevitable.

The first half ended with a 27-0 score and the excited Trojans team hustled into the locker room in contrast to the dejected Farmers who walked slowly into the locker room, as if the game was already over in their minds.

The halftime show started with the cheer squad doing routines to a variety of songs, followed by the announcement of the 2012 Homecoming court, then came the CVHS marching band that played Taio Cruz’s “Dynamite” and ended with a spectacular fireworks show.

The second half saw the Trojans continue their total domination against the Farmers on both sides of the ball, to finish with a 41-0 stomping, a win that improved their league record to 3-1, good enough to move them into second place.

Their last game of the regular season will be an away game, this Friday at 7 P.M. against the first place, and undefeated in league, Berkeley High School Yellow Jackets.
