Excited about your new Kindle? Interested in reading free books on your iPhone?

The Castro Valley Library is offering a series of Tuesday workshops to teach users how to browse, check out and download titles from the library’s Overdrive service to mobile device or laptops.

Participants should bring their fully-charged device, their library card, and their device identification (Apple ID for iPad/iPhone users, Android Marketplace ID for Android users, or


Amazon account for Kindle users), and have basic knowledge of how to use their device.

The workshops will be from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. on these days:

•Nov. 6 for iPhone/iPad

•Nov. 13 for Kindle Devices

•Nov. 20 for all other devices

Registration is required for this free program. To register, call the Library Information Desk at 510-667-7900.
