| Buon Tempo Spaghetti Feed Raises Thousands for George Mark House |

Even though the spaghetti turned out to be linguini, the food was excellent and the crowd was large and generous at the recent Spaghetti and Meatball Feed sponsored by the Buon Tempo Club at the Castro Valley Moose Hall.
The dinner took in $3,500, a record for this type of event. The entire amount went to the George Mark House, a unique facility for the palliative care of terminally ill children and a respite for their caregivers.
A raffle was held after the dinner with many beautiful prizes donated by individuals as well as from local merchants, including the Village Barber Shop, B.A. Morrison General Contractors, Golden Tee Golfland, Al’s Food Market, Knudsen’s Ice Creamery, Pete’s Hardware, and Scott’s Seafood Restaurant in Jack London Square.
The George Mark House was presented with a check at the Buon Tempo Club November Family Dinner. |
