Severe Spousal Abuse And Malicious Mayhem

Monday, November 12: at 5:15 p.m., a 911 call about a loud and aggressive argument sent sheriff’s deputies to a home on Tyee Street near Riverbank Avenue. There they arrested a 25-year-old man on suspicion of spousal battery and malicious mayhem resulting in severe injuries. The man was taken to Santa Rita Jail. The victim was treated at the scene.


Breaking and Entering

Monday, November 12: at 1:00 p.m., deputies arrested a 31-year-old man from San Francisco on suspicion of breaking and entering a building on Redwood Road near Heyer Avenue. The man was taken to Santa Rita Jail pending a court date this week.


One Too Many

Monday, November 12: at 7:15 p.m., a 32-year-old man from Castro Valley was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication. The man was stumbling along the sidewalk in front of a home on Beardsly Street near Reedly Way when deputies approached him. The man was taken to a sobering center.


Over The Limit

Saturday, November 10: at 2:36 a.m., deputies pulled over and arrested a 56-year-old woman from Castro Valley on suspicion of driving while intoxicated. The woman was traveling on Wisteria Street near Somerset Avenue when deputies pulled her over. The woman was taken into custody.


Hit & Run Driver Arrested

Friday, November 9: at 1:25 p.m., an 18-year-old man from Castro Valley was pulled over and arrested following a hit-and-run accident at the intersection of Castro Valley Boulevard and Forrest Avenue. Deputies stopped the man while he was trying to leave the scene. He was handcuffed and charged with suspicion of reckless driving and fleeing the scene of a vehicle accident. The man was taken to Santa Rita Jail.


Home Robbery Stopped

Friday, November 9: at 6:54 p.m. a silent alarm for a home on the 19000-block of Mt. Jasper Drive sent deputies to the scene. There they arrested a 28-year-old man from Castro Valley while he was coming out of the home.  The man was taken to Santa Rita Jail pending a $20,000 bail.


Busted for Drugs

Friday, November 9: at 2:11 a.m., deputies arrested two women on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine drugs and illegal drug paraphernalia. The women were pulled over at the intersection of Nugget Canyon Court and East the Boulevard after a check of their vehicle license plate. Both women had warrants out for their arrests. The 30-year-old female driver had previously had her license revoked and had given false statements to the police. The 31-year-old passenger was arrested for a warrant stemming from a driving-while-under the influence arrest. Neither woman gave a home address. The women were taken to Santa Rita Jail pending $10,500 bail.


Can’t Stay Away

Wednesday, November 7: at 6:22 p.m., a 51-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of violating a court-issued restraining order, possession of methamphetamine drugs and possession of illegal drug paraphernalia. Deputies caught up with the woman in front of a home on Lamson Road near Almond Road. The woman, who declined to state where she was from, was taken into custody.


Pot Bust

Wednesday, November 7: at 2:44 p.m., deputies arrested a 25-year-old man from Oakland on suspicion of possession of an illegal amount of marijuana drugs. The man was traveling on Lake Chabot Road near Middleton Avenue when deputies caught up with him and discovered his stash. The man was handcuffed and taken into custody.


Attempted Murder

Tuesday, November 6: at 7:48 p.m., a 32-year-old man from San Leandro was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. Deputies stopped the man on Lake Chabot Road near Eden Hospital following a 911 call. The man was taken to Santa Rita Jail. No info about an intended victim was released.
