The audience was the school’s third through eighth grade students, who thoroughly enjoyed the abridged version of the comic opera by the famous English composer and lyricist team Gilbert and Sullivan.
The San Francisco Opera’s Department of Education provides this program to introduce opera to schools all over the Bay Area and provides a script that includes a number of students as characters in the story and this is the first year St. Felicitas participated in the opera program.

Earlier this month, St. Felicitas Catholic School enjoyed a performance of The Pirates of Penzance starring some eighth grade students, the school choir and three professional singers in the cast.
