Students join food bank to help needy in the Bay Area

Thanksgiving is a time for most to share in a hearty meal with family, but there are those that do not have an opportunity for such a festive experience which is where Second Harvest Food Bank comes in.

This organization serves the needs of low-income people across the Bay Area, distributing nutritious foods throughout the year.

During the holiday season, the need is greater so food donations and volunteers are vital to making sure everyone gets a nice, hot meal.

The eighth graders at St. Leander’s School were happy to volunteer time and food to Second Harvest Food Bank since service to others is instilled in them early on at the school.
