Senior Holiday Dance & Luncheon

Feast on delicacies and dance to the sounds of the Treble Makers on Friday, Dec. 14, from noon to 3 p.m. at the Senior Community Center, 13909 East 14th Street. Holiday Festivities at Bayfair

Bayfair Center is a hub for festive music and entertainment this holiday season. Shoppers will enjoy carolers, jazz trios, mariachi bands, string trios and even festive crafts, as they start and finish holiday shopping. The Entertainment Schedule: Steel Pan Trio on Saturday, Dec. 15, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.; Sing-a-Long & Crafts on Saturday, Dec. 22, from noon to 2 p.m.; Jazz Trio on Sunday, Dec. 23, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.; Holiday Carolers on Saturday, Dec. 8; Sunday, Dec. 9; and Monday, Dec. 24, from 1 to 3 p.m.; Mariachi on Saturday, Dec. 22, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.; String Trio on Sunday, Dec. 16, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

A Christmas Carol

Curtain Call Performing Arts’  annual production of A Christmas Carol runs through 23 at the San Leandro Arts Education Center, 2200 Bancroft Ave. in San Leandro. Tickets are $25 for general admission, $22 for students and seniors and $10 for children 10 and under.  To purchase tickets, visit or call the box office at 909-9516. Show times for A Christmas Carol are Dec. 14, 15, 21 and 22 at 8 p.m.; and Dec. 16 and 23 at 2 p.m. The Sunday, Dec. 16, matinee is a special Family Day at the Theater with children in kindergarten through fifth grade admitted for $1 with an adult buying a ticket.

Holidays at Casa Peralta

Casa Peralta, 384 W. Estudillo Ave. in San Leandro, is having an open house on Saturday, Dec. 15, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Come to “Holidays at the Casa Peralta” for cookies, candy canes, hot chocolate, pictures with Santa Claus and singing carols.

SLHS Track & Field Pancake Breakfast

Come to the San Leandro High School Track & Field Pancake Breakfast on Saturday Dec. 15, from 8 a.m. to noon at the San Leandro High main cafeteria, 2200 Bancroft Ave. Breakfast includes pancakes, sausage and beverages. Tickets are $9 at the door.

SL Classical Ballet’s Nutcracker

San Leandro’s own Conservatory of Classical Ballet will perform excerpts from the Nutcracker Ballet on Saturday, Dec. 15, from 2 to 3 p.m. in the Main Library’s Carnegie Lecture Hall and Theater, 300 Estudillo Ave.

Dusty Paws Adoption

Dusty Paws Rescue will hold an adoption on Saturday, Dec. 15, at Pet Food Express, 3385 Castro Valley Blvd. in Castro Valley from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Stop by and meet the animals who are looking for a new home. Volunteers and fosters will be on hand to answer questions.

Holiday Puppet Show at the Library

One Wacky Winter, a holiday puppet show presented by The Puppet Company, will appear on Wednesday, Dec. 19, at 7 p.m. at the San Leandro Main Library, 300 Estudillo Ave. After the show, there will be a special appearance by Santa Claus. For more information, call 577-3960.

Boys & Girls Club Crab Feed

The San Leandro Boys & Girls Club, 401 Marina Blvd., is having its annual Crab Feed on Saturday, Jan. 12. Social hour begins at 6 p.m and dinner will be served at 7 p.m. Tickets are $40 per person, which includes all-you-can-eat crab, pasta, salad and French bread. Live music by “BackBeat” performing the music of The Beatles. Proceeds support the San Leandro Boys & Girls Club, which provides educational and enrichment after-school programs for 1,200 children per day at twelve sites.

Sons of Norway Crab Feed

The Sons of Norway Snorre Lodge 6-061 is having its Annual Crab Feed on Saturday, Jan. 26, at the Hill & Valley Clubhouse, 1808 B St. in Hayward. Salad, spaghetti, garlic bread and crab, no-host bar, raffle prizes, music and dancing to the Sandbar Band. Social hour at 6 p.m., dinner at 7 p.m., dancing at 8 p.m. Tickets are $40, or $15 for children. Giant Lego Display

A giant Lego display is on exhibit every Saturday and Sunday through Jan. 6, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Principled Academy, 2305 Washington Ave. in San Leandro. The display was made by Principled Academy students. For more information, call  351-6400.

Bayfair Toastmasters

The Bayfair Toastmasters are looking for new members. 4th Sunday Breakfast at Veterans Building

American Legion Post 117 will be offering breakfast from 8 a.m. until noon every 4th Sunday of the month  at the San Leandro Veterans Memorial Bldg., 1105 Bancroft Ave. in San Leandro. The menu will be eggs-to-order, bacon/sausage, hash browns, toast and coffee. Cost is $6 for adults, $5 for senior and veterans, and $4 for children under 12. Everyone is welcome.
