Mortgage rates were mixed during the last Freddie Mac survey before Christmas, with the 30-year rate making a small jump.
The long-term rate averaged 3.37 percent last week, up from 3.32 percent the week before.
Fifteen-year fixed-rate mortgages edged down, from 2.66 percent a week ago to 2.65 percent last Thursday.
Five-year adjustable-rate mortgages (ARMs) were up slightly to 2.71 percent from 2.70 percent, and one-year ARMs were down to 2.52 percent from 2.53 percent.
