Warrant Issued for Armed Robbery Suspect
A warrant has been issued for the arrest of a woman suspected of committing an armed robbery last month.
Police are on the lookout for 35-year-old Felicia Wilson and believe she was one of the people who participated in a robbery at the Valero gas station at 1088 Marina Boulevard on Nov. 28, according to Lt. Randy Brandt of the San Leandro police.
Wilson has no known address, but police say she frequents Oakland.
In addition to this warrant out for her arrest, Wilson is also a parolee at large.
A second suspect in the Valero robbery is already in custody, Brandt said.
Anyone with information about Wilson’s whereabouts is asked to call Det. Ted Henderson at 577-3237 or the San Leandro police anonymous tip line at 577-3278.
Sex Offender Sweep Leads to Two Arrests
San Leandro police did a sex offender sweep last Tuesday, resulting in the arrest of two registered sex offenders for being “out of compliance” with the terms of their release.
One was arrested for a parole violation and the other for having an illegal firearm, according to Lt. Randy Brandt of the San Leandro police.
The San Leandro police teamed with the Alameda County Sexual Assault Felony Enforcement (SAFE) task force to randomly check on 32 registered sex offenders living in San Leandro.
The officers found 15 of the offenders in compliance with their registration requirements.
The other offenders weren’t home at the time of the sweep or had moved and follow-up checks and investigations will determine if they are in compliance, Brandt said.
The SLPD routinely check on the city’s registered sex offenders, checking addresses and doing parole and probation searches, Brandt said.
San Leandro currently has 246 registered sex offenders, who are required by state law to check in with police as well as inform law officers within five days if they move.
