DEPUTIES NAB 4 teen suspects By Robert Souza
CASTRO VALLEY FORUM
Alameda County Sheriff’s officers took four teenage suspects into custody last week moments after two of the youths burglarized an unoccupied home in the 20000 block of Gail Drive in Castro Valley.
Gustavo Ferreira, 18, and a 17-year-old youth were arrested by deputies as they emerged from the house with stolen jewelry and other items.
Police were tipped off by neighbors who called 911 around 2:30 p.m. Thursday after seeing the two hop a fence on the street. Witnesses also reported seeing an unfamiliar grey Dodge
Charger parked on the street nearby.
Sheriff’s Sgt. JD Nelson said the two had gotten into the house by shimmying through a broken rear window. The homeowners later identified the property taken from the house.
Also taken into custody were 18-year old Keoni Carreiro and a 16-year old who were waiting in the parked car.
Ferreira and the 17-year old suspect both face burglary charges. |
