Teens Nabbed for Burglary
A neighbor helped police capture four burglary suspects on Jan. 27 at around 3 p.m.
The neighbor saw four juvenile suspects in the back yard of her neighbor’s house on the 800 block of Arthur Avenue and knew they didn’t live there, so she called the cops, according to Lt. Randy Brandt of the San Leandro police.
The police arrived and detained all four young suspects – two from Oakland and two from San Leandro.
The homeowner arrived and confirmed that the home had been burglarized. Some stolen property was found and returned to the owner, Brandt said.
Wake Up Call
A man discovered two burglars in his home on the 14400 block of Doolittle Drive early Saturday morning.
The man got up to use the rest room around 2 a.m. and found two men in his home, according to Lt. Randy Brandt of the San Leandro police.
When they were discovered, the burglars immediately ran away without taking anything.
The victim said he heard them drive off in a car, but didn’t get a description of the vehicle..
The burglars are both described as black male adults, around 30 years old, 6-foot to 6-foot-2, with large builds.

Caught at the Scene
A man was arrested for burglary after police caught him covered in glass and holding a stolen computer.
An alarm went off at a business on the 400 block of Davis Street around 1 a.m.. last Friday, accodirng to Lt. Randy Brandt of the San Leandro polcie.
When cops arrived, they found a broken window and the suspect at the scene.
The suspect, a 40-year-old Vallejo resident, is being held at at Santa Rita jail in Dublin on $85,000 bail.
