Ramana Vieira and her band will perform at the I.D.E.S. St. John Valentine’s Dinner on Saturday, Feb. 16, from 6 to 9 p.m. at St. John Hall, 1670 Orchard Ave. in San Leandro. Ramana is a professional Fado singer and resident of San Leandro, who’s relationship with Fado lies deep in her family history from Madeira Island, Portugal. Ramana is joined by Stephen LaPorta on percussion, Alberto Rameriz on bass, Michael Mcmorrow on guitarra and 12 string classical guitar and Laura Boytz on cello.
