Friday, May 17: at 6:57 p.m., deputies arrested a 37-year-old man with no permanent address on suspicion of public intoxication. The man was hanging out behind a business on Castro Valley Boulevard near Wisteria Street when deputies arrived. The man was taken to a sobering center.

Friday, May 17: at 12:54 a.m., a 23-year-old man from Fremont was arrested on suspicion of driving while under the influence, driving with a suspended license, and driving without a valid license to operate a motorcycle. The man was traveling on Lindview Drive near Saratoga Street. The man was taken into custody.
Wanted Man
Wednesday, May 15: at 12:20 p.m., deputies arrested a 31-year-old man from Castro Valley as part of a court-ordered warrant for his arrest. The man was staying at a motel on East Castro Valley Boulevard near the 580 Market Place when deputies arrived. The man was cited with $1,500 bail and given instructions to return to court.

Sunday, May 12: at 8:25 a.m., a 911 call about someone making loud and unreasonable noises sent sheriff’s deputies to an apartment on John Drive near Regent Way. There they arrested a 43-year-old woman with no permanent address on suspicion of maliciously and willfully disturbing the neighborhood peace.

Sunday, May 12: at 4:53 p.m., deputies arrested a 51-year-old man from Castro Valley on suspicion of possession of stolen property and petty theft. The man was standing outside the 580 Market Place parking lot on East Castro Valley Boulevard when deputies approached him and discovered his stash. The man was cited and then taken into custody pending $5,000 bail.

Saturday, May 11: at 2:35 a.m., a 44-year-old man from Hayward was arrested on suspicion of possession of illegal narcotics. Deputies caught up with the man as he was traveling on Yeandle Ave near Catalina Drive. The man was handcuffed and taken into custody.

Saturday, May 11: at 5:05 a.m., deputies arrested a 31-year-old woman from Pleasanton on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine drugs and being under the influence. The woman was standing in front of a home on Pine St near Elm St when deputies pulled up and discovered 1.74 grams of the drug in her possession.

Friday, May 10: at 7:22 p.m., a 49-year-old man from Tracy on suspicion of possession of an illegal amount of marijuana. The man was traveling on the Boulevard near Santa Maria Ave when deputies caught up with him and discovered his stash. The man was handcuffed and taken into custody.

Friday, May 10: at 9:47 p.m., deputies following up on a warrant pickup arrested a 53-year-old man from San Leandro for failure to appear in court. The man was further cited for not parallel parking his car on Lake Chabot Road near Eden Medical Center. Deputies handcuffed the man and took him to Santa Rita Jail.

Friday, May 10: at 12:57 p.m., a 41-year-old woman from Hayward was arrested on suspicion of possession of an illegal amount of marijuana. Deputies stopped the woman on the Boulevard near Marshall St outside a mobile home park and discovered her stash during questioning. The woman was handcuffed and taken into custody.
Combative Patient
Thursday, May 9: at 12:59 a.m., an emergency dispatch about a combative patient sent deputies to Eden Medical. There they arrested a 49-year-old woman from Oakland on suspicion of public intoxication and battery against a peace officer. Deputies also found out the woman had a warrant issued for her arrest. They handcuffed her and took her to Santa Rita Jail pending a $2,500 bail.

Wednesday, May 8: at 6:49 p.m., deputies arrested a 28-year-old man from CV on suspicion of possession of an illegal amount of marijuana. The man was standing at the corner of Anita Court and Anita Avenue when deputies questioned him and found his stash. The man was taken into custody.

Wednesday, May 8: at 7:00 p.m., a 40-year-old man with no permanent address was arrested on suspicion of battery against a family member. Deputies were called after reports of the attack outside a business on Castro Valley Boulevard near Marshall Street. The man was handcuffed and taken to Santa Rita Jail.

Sunday, April 21: at 5:00 p.m., sheriff’s deputies arrested a 22-year-old man from San Jose on suspicion of breaking into a vehicle with the intent on stealing items inside. The man was spotted canvasing the parking lot at the 580 Market Place on East Castro Valley Boulevard when deputies were called to the scene. A passerby placed the man under citizen’s arrest. The man was taken into custody.

Monday, April 15: at 9:50 a.m., a boyfriend and girlfriend from Lewisville, Texas (north of Dallas) were arrested in front of a home on Orange Avenue near Grove Way after deputies observed them driving erratically in the neighborhood. The 39-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of driving while under the influence of alcohol. The 44-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication. The couple both failed their field sobriety test and were taken into custody.

Deputies then picked up a 49-year-old man from Livermore leaving the scene two blocks away; also on suspicion of battery. The men filed citizen’s arrest reports on each other. Deputies responded to an emergency call from a patron at a fast food place on Castro Valley Boulevard near Lake Chabot Road saying that a car had been stolen with a child inside. Deputies caught up with the thief two blocks away. The woman was taken to Santa Rita Jail. The child was returned unharmed.

Friday, March 22: at 7:42 p.m., two people were arrested on suspicion of battery and theft at a grocery store on Redwood Road near the Boulevard. Deputies were called to the scene after store management tried to stop a 19-year-old woman from Livermore and a 23-year-old man from CV from taking off with unpaid merchandise. There they arrested an 84-year-old man from Castro Valley on suspicion of physically assaulting a family member. The man was taken into custody pending a $50,000 bail. The victim was treated at the scene.
